Lou Fusz Lacrosse - Blue Star Spring/Summer 2024 Tryouts 

Lou Fusz lacrosse is excited to announce our Blue Star Spring/Summer 2024 tryout dates. We are excited to build off our most successful Spring/Summer in 2023 and make a statement in 2024! These evaluations will be open to returning Blue Star players or new athletes looking to play at the highest level this Spring in our local SLYLA league (Youth Only), then compete throughout the Midwest come Summer 2024. Additionally, our best teams will be traveling to a National event in July. 

What is a Blue Star Team?

Blue Star was created to offer high-level training with our talented coaching staff, provide exposure to college recruiters, while keeping our programs cost efficient. Currently, we are looking to field and develop a team comprised by your son's graduation year. For example: 2026s = 10th graders. Blue Star Coaches will help YOU get identified by college coaches at different recruiting events across the country. These Blue Star teams are considered our top teams within Lou Fusz Lacrosse and strive to compete throughout the Midwest. Once our high level Coaches mold your Blue Star team into a competitive Midwest team, then we will introduce those teams onto the National tournament stage.

See below for an overview of the season through July for all of our blue star teams! Our schedule helps to promote our mission of growing the sport of lacrosse across all communities in the Met STL area. We encourage our athletes to participate in their local organizations during the Spring!

Youth Schedule (Graduation Year: 2034-2029s):

March 4th - May 16th - SLYLA League - 2x a week practice (Mondays and Wednesdays) 

June - July - Summer practices -2x a week Practice (Tuesday/Thursday)

Country Lax Festival: June 1-2nd (Nashville, TN) 

Team Illinois Invitational: June 28 - 29th (Rockford, IL)

Jan 18th - Feb 15th - Preseason High School Tune-Up Practices/Training (Tues/Thurs 5:30 - 7 PM)

Feb - May - Play for Local MSLA High School Team - NO LFA Commitments

May 28th - July 25th -  Full Summer Practice Schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Evenings) 

- Tuesday/Thursday 5:30 - 7 PM - Team Practices

- Wednesdays 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM - Speed, Strength, and Agility Training by Proactive Performance (5:30 - 6:30)
